New Acting Executive Director for Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia

Dear members and friends of the Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia.

It is with mixed emotions that we say good bye to our executive director, Sherri Robbins. Sherri has accepted a position with the Bluenose Marathon; an opportunity near and dear to her heart. We wish her great success in her new role!  The Sector Council will be undertaking a search for a new executive director in the coming weeks.

In the interim, Arlene MacDonald has stepped down as chair of the board of directors and will be assuming the role of acting executive director for the next 6 months. In addition to her role with the Sector Council, which began in 2013, Arlene brings to the position her experience as executive director of the Pictou County Women’s Centre. Arlene is an active community leader, volunteer and advocate for the non-profit/voluntary sector.

This decision was made to ensure that we can continue to offer uninterrupted support and service to the sector and advance our key mission driven activities. Sherri’s last day will be on October 16 and Arlene will begin on October 26.
